Alithia was almost angry with the comment Rastus had made about Xavier. She could insult him and not feel terrible, but for some reason was quite protective when someone else insulted him. She stopped at the edge of the town, waiting for the others to catch up. There was no way she would feed here. Just as that thought crossed her mind, the hunger became too much and she fell. Everything went black.

When Xavier and Raina finally got to the entrance of the town, he saw Alithia limp in Rastus's arms. "Get off, Raina, quick." He felt bad for the tone of his voice towards Raina, but he had to make sure Alithia was alright. "Hey! What the hell do you think you're doing? Get away from her!" Xavier yanked Alithia out of his arms and glared at him as he held Alithia close. He noticed she was a shade paler than when they had met just several minutes before and was worried. "What did you do to her?!"

"I did nothing, dog. When I finally caught up with her, I found her like this. I think she has just merely passed out from lack of food." Rastus shifted his body weight to the side and crossed his arms. He hated being falsely accused. It wasn't that it was hurtful. It was simply because he found it annoying. It was already bad enough that just by being a vampire you're automatically marked as a bad person. Though, it was probably himself that gave other vampires that image.

"Xavier, he's right. I've had this happen to me many times before in my first years with Rafael. There were times when I refused to eat. Trust me, I know what it looks like. We just need to find her something, and fast." She looked around and was at a loss. There weren't very many options. She didn't seem like the type of vampire she herself was.

Xavier quickly thought of a solution. He elongated one of his finger nails and took off his top layer of armor. After he rolled up his sleeve, he cut a wound into his skin that was about an inch and a half long. "Come on, Alithia. I know the taste isn't brilliant, but you have to drink something." He placed his arm to her partly opened mouth and hoped that his plan was about to work.

The crimson copper smell of blood hit her nose and sent her mind spinning. She had awoken enough to reach up and grab a muscular arm. Whoever it belonged to, they were feeding her willingly. She pulled the arm to her mouth and pressed her lips to the wound. She was trying very hard not to sink her fangs into him as she sucked weakly. The blood didn't take long to bring most of her strength back. Only shapeshifters blood could work that fast. That meant... "Xavier..." Now she really felt bad about what she said. The werewolf's eyes fluttered shut as her hand rested on his cheek. His unwounded arm wrapped around her tightly as he brought her closer to his body. She was safe. "Thank God..." Alithia couldn't help but release a quiet laugh because of the tickle of his breath against her breasts. "Thank you, Xavier." Alithia's eyes widened in surprise as Xavier began to sniff about her breasts. She found herself wanting to protest but couldn't bring the words to her lips. Rastus rolled his eyes and cleared his throat. "Ahem...Well. We have some moving that we need to get going on. So, are you well enough to walk?" He leaned against a fence and stared, waiting. He didn't like how obviously close Xavier and Alithia were getting. It was going to ruin his plans, and that wasn't allowed. After a space of silence, there was still no answer. This was annoying. "Alithia. Are you going to answer me, or not? We need to know if you're alright so we can get moving..." He was trying his hardest not to raise his voice. It wasn't exactly working very well. It was probably going to bite him in the ass.

Alithia had chosen to ignore Rastus both times he had spoken. He had nearly raised his voice, which would usually cause her to get angry, yet she was just too caught up in Xavier's eyes. "Why did you ask?" She tried not to blink. "Your eyes are so...amazing." She could feel the power from Xavier flowing over her from being so close. She almost thought she'd choke from it. Instead, it seemed to cradle her in arms of power as if protecting her...Was he meaning to do this?

Rastus stood and approached Xavier and Alithia seductively. He hadn't meant to, but sometimes his body moves on it's own. "I think both of us wants to carry you for different reasons. We know that Xavier wants to carry you because you're weak and he wants to protect you. I want to carry you because you're weak and I want to take advantage of you. So, technically, Xavier, what you wish to protect her from is, in fact, me." He kneeled to Alithia's level and brushed her cheek. "So, Alithia, which one of us 'gorgeous men' would you like to carry you most?" He grinned at the vampiress seductively.

Xavier grinned at Alithia and then turned to the master vampire towering over him and stuck his tongue out. He knew this guy was trouble, and he didn't trust him one bit. He looked back at the woman out stretching her arms and pulled her into his chest. He shifted his position to where he was sitting on the balls of his feet and used his leg muscles to life her off the ground. He cradled her in his arms and kissed her cheek. "Do you want to ride on my back, or would you rather me carry you just like this?"

Rastus mumbled under his breath and let out a soft hiss. He looked at Raina and smirked. "Would you like to be carried? I promise I won't touch you unless you want me to. And you can ride on my back, if you so choose." He smiled, trying to be reassuring. It must have worked because, within seconds, she was approaching him and hopping on his back. "There we go. Hm..." He smiled to himself. "You're quite light, my dear." Raina blushed and covered her face with his shoulder, nudging him with her forehead. He chuckled then. "Hmhm...very cute. Okay then, let's continue." He walked in front of Xavier holding Raina in his arms and smirked. "You coming, dog?" Xavier growled and Rastus laughed to himself.

Alithia hissed in Rastus's direction. "If I didn't think we needed you I would take that tongue out of your mouth so fast you wouldn't utter the word dog again." She was now overly protective of Xavier. She didn't know why, but she didn't feel Xavier deserved this at all. "Let's go, Xavier." She lay her head back down on his shoulder and attempted to calm herself down. Her chest was pressed against his making her breasts pop up even further out of her corset.
